Companies that are registered in the Free Zones are advised to lodge their auditing reports annually and submit them at the time of the renewal of their trade license even though the reporting period is ideally one calendar year as the companies in the  Free Zone can choose their financial year but that chosen financial year should commence from the date of incorporation and must not be less than 6 months and no more than 18 months, failure in the annual audit report submission may lead to financial penalties and other complications.
